Blake's Place BBQ

When students think of lunch break during college the first thing that comes to mind is usually fast food. Now I'm all for the usual burger joint or Mexican spot, but sometimes a student needs to treat themselves to something with a little more OOMPH! What better to provide that OOMPH than some nice smoked BBQ meats, obviously. Just 2 miles south of CSUF, a hidden gem sits in a dead end industrial lot only seen by its large green tent for outdoor seating. The place is Blake's Place Cafe and Catering. Don't let the name fool you, there is nothing "cafe" about it, it is a legit BBQ spot. Though they do not have any specials for CSUF students, they do give you a chance to break through the mediocrity of the usual burger or burrito. Trust me the food is worth it. For the same price as Chipotle burrito (BORING), you can get a BBQ sandwich piled high with meats such as smoked brisket, pulled pork, or rib meat. Did I mention they serve beer? Because 7pm night class is no fun sober ... just kidding ... or am I. It is most definitely a good place for CSUF students to check out if they are tired of fast food.

Pulled Pork Pile Sandwich *drool*

Food: 5/5
Price: 3/5 (only because racks of ribs can get expensive, stick to the BBQ sandwiches)
Location: 4/5 (only because it is not right across the street from CSUF)

2905 E Miraloma Ave
Anaheim, CA 92806
